COMMUNITY
The Community strand of Brighton Dance Network aims to develop links with Schools and Community groups, enabling communication with local dance artists offering a diverse range of dance activities.

Since July we have been running a successful Dance Club for young people at Tarner Youth Project and also at Carlton Hill School. We have offered the opportunity to try a number of different styles including street dance, hip-hop, Latin, contemporary and poi spinning. We also led groups from Tarner in Brighton Carnival 2007 – a fun day for everyone!

In 2008 we plan to continue clubs in Tarner and to set up clubs in other areas of Brighton and Hove. We are developing partnerships with Active for Life, Take Part Festival and Brighton Carnival.
